Delphi

Freelance Contractor | 2 Months

Delphi is the world’s first digital cloning platform, powered by Artificial Intelligence. Delphi is a seed-stage startup funded by Founders Fund, Balaji Srinivasan, and SaxeCap.
Delphi’s founding team was stretched thin as they raced to launch V.1 to the public and needed a front-end engineer who could give the entire app a facelift—quickly, iteratively, and with very little direction.

Contribution

  • Full screen redesign of multple views across app (UI/UX)
  • Pixel-perfect implementation of redesigns
  • Implement best-practices for React.js, Next.js, and Chakra UI
  • UI bug fixes
  • Device responsivity

Screens were first re-designed by me on Figma, approved by the team, then implemented into the app.

All views were designed + coded to be completely responsive to all screen sizes.

Special.tv

Senior Front-end Developer | 18 Months

Beginning as a boutique software development agency, Special.tv raised $3.5M to create a “Youtube with a paywall” - a platform for independent video creators to monetize their work via subscription revenue.
Special hadn’t yet achieved product-market fit, which meant our team needed to build in a way where we could learn – and pivot – quickly. Our small team of 3 engineers and one product owner got to work, balancing speed and reusability, and hitting every deadline we set.
The scale of the product we would end up building was massive: effectively a YouTube meets Netflix clone, designed specifically for independent creators.

Contribution

I co-led the front-end development from the ground up, involved in all architecture decisions and implementation from start to finish.
  • Designed the front-end architecture of web app, utilizing Redux for state management
  • Implemented complex role-based permissions using RBAC (Role Based Access Control) libraries
  • Assisted in backend API development using Adonis.js
  • Translated complete Figma designs to pixel-perfect interactive UIs (see below)
  • Built custom video player with TV casting functionality

Built all sign in and account creation flows using Amazon Cognito (AWS Amplify) for authentication.

Built various sections of the Special.tv Studio – a backend for video creators to upload content, configure their channel page, view analytics, and start accepting payments.

Built fully responsive views for the subscriber-side app utilizing our own component library. Implemented conditional UI based on the user’s role, paywall UI and logic, and various functionality.

Bird’s Eye Technologies

Front-end Developer | 3 Months

Bird's Eye Technologies contracted our agency to build a visually stunning and user-friend suite of tools for medical professionals (think “Google Workspace”), which included an Admin Dashboard and a Formulary to query and display medical drugs and substances.
Given my experience building complete web apps from scratch, I was tasked as the sole front-end developer on the project and collaborated with a single backend engineer.

Contribution

  • Conditional views & functionality based on a user's role (using Role Based Access Control (RBAC) libraries)
  • Data visualizations created with D3.js
  • A QR code scanner using a computer's webcam
  • Fully responsive Uis for desktop and mobile screen sizes
  • ...and more.

Go to 1:30 for a product demo of the Formulary – I was responsible for the entire UI.
